Hi my name is Chuck Carson,I’am a Homeless Veteran in America and I need your help !I have been homeless and on the street in America, on and off, nearly 20 yearssince or the year 1985 and I have no home or food right now and I need your help to raise One Million Dollarsto retire from the Homelessness and the street life I have come to know so well while Homeless throughout this country in these years that I have lost and that have gone by fruitless for me for so long.
I don’t have a camera right now or I would post a photograph of my selfon this site and some photos of my campsite in the woods and show you how I live in the area.
The words in the picture at the top of this page are the same words I used to put on signs I would make out of card board boxes that were used to collect money along highways and street corners in different cities around the U.S. in all kinds of weather, too, to survive and get the needed equipment and proper clothes for the weather and cold that is a major problem on the streets throughout the year. You could call the words on my sign my own original trademark statement.
To survive I have lived in makeshift cardboard tents and boxes in many different places and through many different conditions. I have been rained on and snowed on while sleeping in tents and in doorways of businesses through the winters and through the summers. I have stayed outside behind shopping centers and in the woods around the different cities in the USA. Today I live in an 3 year old tent with a cardboard floor in it for insulation in the woods next to a noisy international airport in South Florida and it gets cold there too in the winter and very wet in the spring and too hot in the summer months where I’am now.
I was born in Alabama my family is from New York, my parents were on the road at the time I was born. One of my distant relatives was the captain of the Mayflower that brought the pilgrams to the colonies way back when and is now anchored at Plymouth Rock. I also now live in Palm Beach where I once stayed with one of my uncles who survived the sinking of the ship the Titanic on April 15, 1912. I stayed there for about a month in 1980, he was married to my aunt here in Palm Beach. His name was Mortimer Cobb. He survived the sinking of the Titanic when he was young boy about 7 years old after being put into a life boat with his mother. Later he became a captain in the United States Maritime Service during WWII.

I grew up and lived in New York state near Buffalo until I joined the U.S. Army in 1976. I left the Army in 1978 because I was to handicapped to perform the duties that I was given correctly if we were to go into combat and have been homeless ever since with exception of living at home for a short period of time and withrelatives until 1985 when that all ended and the true harshness of Homelessness set in after ending up homeless and out on the street for the first time 1985 in Venice Beach California.
Ever since then I have wondered around the U.S. trying to find work and nothing has ever came. I worked for the HollywoodStudioMuseum in HollywoodCalifornia for about a month in 1985 and helped make a video staring Gene Barry there. I was paid 5 dollars a day to help. I have trudged on until today moving from California to where I’am today in Palm Beach and my Homelessness is still continuing on today in March 2009 as I type this onto this website. If you are wondering how I am creating this website it is free.
I am slightly handicapped in my hands and is one of the reasons I left the military in 1978 so not to put any other of my friends in the Army at risk because of my short comings in combat. My handicap is most likely the reason why I haven’t found work in these many lost years of wandering the streets.Right now I get no help from the government at all anymore and never really did except for government foodstamps in all of the states I was Homeless and welfare for a short time in New York state lasting for about 2 or 3 years in the 1980's.
I have tried to set the land speed record across the U.S. three times using three different cars. The first was in 1981 and 1982 using a full race NASCAR and fully prepared NASCAR engine. The second was in 1983 where the same car was used and the engine was substituted with an all electric fuelless version that I invented in 1981.
The third was a 1984 Ford Formula One car that was going to get a 600 HP version of my electric fuelless motor for the run across the country in the year 2000 or 2002 when the electric fuelless motor I had invented in 1981 was finally put together and was working in experiments at an airport in South Florida in those years. The idea was to build the car and leave WashingtonD.C. moving West to Los Angeles hopefully setting a record one way. The car that was designed in 2000 would have the ability to return to D.C after arriving in Los Angeles in a round trip fashion without refueling of any kind both ways.

My goal is to finally rid myself of my homelessness by asking you, Americaand the people of this great nation out there, to help me raiseOne Million Dollars so that I can get off the streets and possibly purchase a house or something to live in. It is not going to be easy to do but with the help of true Americans I can do this and also become a healthy contributor to the American dream and be a normal citizen like everyone else again.
